Fair 2010

We took the kids to the fair to ride last night. They were fired up before they even got started.

Mommy sucked it up and rode with Parker on the clown ride. He was mad because he wanted to ride by himself. Maybe next year he'll be tall enough.

Go figure... Parker wanted to play the fishing game and HAD to do it all by himself.

Quick update

On Saturday, July 24 Bryson came over to play. We went to the Nature Center to check out all the animals. They had a great time showing Bryson all the turtles and fish!

We are in the middle of draining the pond, digging it out and hopefully making it more than just a mosquito haven. Chloe showed off one of the big bass that we got out of it. FYI - Blake is really ok. His arm looks diseased here, but it's just mud and muck from being in the pond. However, that may very well lead to disease!!!

Picking up where he left off

Parker wasted no time when he got home last night picking up right where he left off from the night before. I think this picture about sums up his attitude here lately... And if you notice, Chloe is in the background pointing and telling on him...

Just your average evening...

Last night, I brought the kids home ice cream since I was later getting home and thought that would be a nice snack for them. Chloe was playing Wii, and Blake and I were in the kitchen trying to decide if the cookies they had baked were edible. We went into the living room, and there was Parker on the floor. I asked him what he was doing and he matter-of-factly responded, "I'm painting." Ice cream is apparently his medium of choice.

Blake offered to clean up the ice cream and run his bath water while I cleaned up the kitchen. Blake was still working on getting ice cream out of the carpet when I got done in the kitchen and asked if I could check on the bath water. This is what I found...

He seems a little too proud of what he had done in this picture, don't you think? The good news is that I now know that every single one of our towels is sparkling clean.

Weekend in review

Saturday evening was Amanda & Jaret's wedding. Chloe had to get her picture taken with the beautiful bride. Congrats!!

For church Sunday, Chloe wanted to wear her dress from Uncle Aaron and Aunt Katie along with the hat they bought her in Florence, Italy. Of course, Daddy had on his hat too.

Soooooooooo, Parker had to find a hat to put on too! Someone needs to give Chloe a lesson in hat wearing...

Big Boy Bed

Last night we turned Parker's crib into a big boy bed. He thought it was great until about 1:30 this morning...

July 5 - Fireworks with the Fishes

Mamaw Mona, Papaw Rocky and Uncle Trav came over on Monday to let off some fireworks at our house. Sparklers are always a hit!

Parker thought one of the fireworks that made noise was hilarious!

July 4

Chloe got to help Mamaw Bev and Papaw Larry pass out bulletins at church on Sunday, so we took some pictures before they left for church.

July 2 - IBT/QMIX Musical Fireworks

Friday, July 2 was the IBT/QMIX Musical Fireworks. The kids loved watching the magic show!

Chloe even got picked to go up and be a helper!

She got a cool flamingo balloon hat.

After the magic show, it was off to get her face painted. She did so good sitting still!

Parker got one swipe of white paint on his nose and called it good.
