A Weekend of Firsts

Chloe helped Mommy make brownies this weekend and did some quality control testing to make sure it was good enough to eat.

The barber shop trip didn't quite pan out so Parker got a haircut from Mommy. His face pretty much sums up his thoughts on haircuts! Other than one ear being slightly "lower" than the other one, I think it went fairly well considering he is only 9 months old!
Daddy couldn't help himself and went ahead and got Chloe some fireworks. She loved making circles with the sparklers.
Parker still loves his swing but now he tries to jump up and down in it while swinging which apparently is hilarious to him.

I guess Chloe thinks that she needs a lap bar to hold her in when she swings.

It's A Miracle!!!!

I got the pictures to prove that Chloe actually let Parker play in her kitchen with her!! Last night was the first night that he could even touch it without getting in trouble from Big Sis! We are making some major progress!!!

After playing in the kitchen, they hung out on top of the fridge. Come on, where else would they hang out together??

Parker is into making faces now. Here's one of his current favorites.

This weekend Parker will get his first haircut. Judging by this morning mess, I would say that he is more than ready for it!

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!! We love you!!

Here is our refurbished garden pond. I kept waiting until I at least got a couple of flowers planted before posting some pictures!

We broke out the Slip-N-Slide to try to beat the heat. Daddy got some momentum this time around! Good thing no one had the camera out when Mommy had a Clark Griswold "Christmas Vacation" moment after Daddy apparently soaped it up real good...

Parker wasn't a huge fan because he thought the water was just a little too cold.

Chloe loved it though and was a muddy, soapy mess by the time she was done!

Both kids were worn out by the end of the day and were ready to snuggle up with Daddy for sweet dreams. I think Daddy was pretty worn out too!

Little Man

It's hard to believe that as of Wednesday the 17th, Parker was 9 months old already! He was playing a little patty-cake to celebrate!

Chloe is into getting her picture taken now...
...and taking pictures by herself!

A Wet Weekend

Saturday we played in the pool and with a few other water toys. As long as the water stayed out of Chloe's eyes, she had a good time!

Parker loves the water whether it's playing in the pool, sink or bath tub!!

Sunday we went to Papaw Rocky and Mamaw Mona's house and played in the hot tub. The kids are up for that any day!

Parker had a blast swinging with Papaw Rocky after he got out of the hot tub!

Weekend Trip

We had a wedding in Indy this weekend so we decided to stay and have a weekend away. The kids were glad to get to the hotel and stretch out after the wedding!

Even though the pool and "hot" tub were both FREEZING, the kids still had a great time swimming!

No...Chloe didn't jump that high off the side of the pool...

Ready for a day at the zoo!!

I would say based on the number of times we rode the carousel that we could have bought our own for the house and saved money...but the kids had fun so that's all that matters.

Chloe REALLY liked the goats at the petting zoo...

Parker liked washing his hands afterwards more than the goats...

Chloe loved the underwater dolphin exhibit. We watched them swim all around us for a long time!

Parker's favorite part of the day was smacking the wall with a picture of the sharks and fish from Finding Nemo.

Then he crashed...

...then she crashed too as soon as we left the zoo. Overall - a great weekend!!

Busy weekend - Sunday, May 31

Today we went to Starve Hollow to play on the playground

and enjoy the nice weather. Parker loves to ride in his stroller.

Chloe thought the beach was pretty neat as long as

all the other beach-goers kept their distance.
It felt good splashing in the water since it was so warm out!
Parker pooped out on us.
But once he got rested and we got home he was grooving to the music of one of their toys!
