Another Surprise Visit!!

Nana & Papaw John flew down over the weekend to surprise us! Blake was in on it the whole time, but I was the first one to get surprised at work. Yep... we cried. They even brought Starbucks!!

Parker was next up. They surprised them at lunch at school. He had the same go into shock reaction that he did when Mamaw Mona and Papaw Rocky surprised them.

 Saturday we went to Top Golf. It was so much fun!  

 We must have wore Nana and Papaw John out! They took naps before we headed downtown to check out the festival.

 After church Sunday, we headed to the park for a while. It was a nice day for a photo op

Monday morning brought goodbye hugs, but luckily it won't be too long until they are back down for a Christmas visit!

"Winter" Fun

I got the kids' cold weather clothes out of the attic the other day, and it was killing Chloe to wear these boots. It was 90 degrees out...

 They had a chili cook-off at church on Sunday (the same day Chloe sported her winter outfit). After we ran home and changed, we went back to play in the snow. They had bounce houses, cornhole, a snow pile and slide. The kids had so much fun!!

 Parker got in a snowball fight with this kid. If you ask Parker, he obviously won.

 They even had "not-so-hot chocolate" to drink!

Happy Halloween!!!

 For my birthday, they started off by taking me out for breakfast at a great breakfast place downtown. It was deeee-lish!

 After breakfast, we went to the pier and watched some manatees playing. Pretty good start to a birthday I would say!!

 We went trick-or-treating at a couple of neighborhoods around our house. The kids brought in quite the haul! It was a HUGE change from trick-or-treating in the snow last year - it was 80 while we were out this year!

 

Halloween Festivities

Friday was the downtown trick-or-treat on Main Street.

 Our pumpkins were getting a little mushy, so we waited until the very last minute to carve them. After the downtown trick-or-treat, we finally got them done!

Who Are These Kids????

Both of the kids had perfect attendance for the first semester!! This marks the longest period either of them have gone without missing school and the first year that Parker hasn't missed within the first 2 weeks of school!

 In 3rd grade, they become eligible to make the Principal's List with good grades. Chloe made the list! We are so proud of both our kiddos!

Catching Some Big Ones

Blake has caught some whopper snook (or snooks - whatever it is) here lately! The first big one he caught was 40" and the second one was 39"!! 

 He also caught some nice keeper trout! It made for a great supper!

 Blake and Parker went fishing and caught this nice Spanish Mackerel.
